AMBRA MARIA FIORE

RTD A

Ambra M. Fiore is graduated in “Material Science and Technology” at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” in 2016. In the same year she won a PhD grant in Risk and Environmental, Territorial and Building Development (SSD: CHIM/07), at the Polytechnic University of Bari. She worked with Prof. Pietro Mastrorilli on the synthesis of new eco-friendly nano-catalysts for the synthesis of small organic molecules. In 2018, she joined the group “Ligands, architectures complexes and catalyse” with Prof. Rinaldo Poli at CNRS of Toulouse (France) in the “Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination” (LCC-CNRS), working on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles embedded in polymeric nanoreactors. She received her European PhD with honours in January 2020, with the thesis title “Chemical reactions catalysed by metal nanoparticles under sustainable conditions”. In February 2020, she obtained a postdoc position at the Polytechnic University of Bari. Her activity was focused on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles for catalytic applications and on silicate for environmental applications. In 2022 she was elected as a member of the youth management of Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) representing the Division of Chemistry for Technology. From February 2023, Ambra is an assistant professor in organic chemistry at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”. She currently works on the synthesis of organic molecules with optoelectronic and magnetic properties.
