Matteo Renato Martina received his master’s degree with honors in Chemical Sciences at the University of Bari in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. G. M. Farinola.

During his thesis internship, he worked on the direct arylation reaction of ortho-tolualdehyde on C Sp3 -H by means of the use of director groups assisted by IR irradiation.
Since November 2022, he is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Farinola. His research is focused on the preparation of innovative stationary phases for the capture of emerging pollutants.
