GIANFRANCO DECANDIA

Gianfranco Decandia received his master’s degree in Material Science in 2018 from the University of Bari. During his thesis internship, he worked on the deposition and the optimization of biocomposite coatings by PE-CVD for drug delivery applications. He spent part of his internship at the Graz University of Technology (Austria) as a visiting student where he worked on polymers deposited via iCVD for drug delivery.
From November 2019, he is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Farinola. His research deals with innovative and eco-friendly methods for synthesis of high conjugated molecular and polymeric materials active in the optoelectronic field such as infrared assisted synthesis and mechanochemistry.
