MARIO GUYON
PhD Student
Mario Guyon received an Associate Degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Université de Rennes, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the Université de Caen, and finally an international Master's Degree in Green and Sustainable Catalysis from the Université de Rennes (2025). During his Master's Degree, he first focused on the optimisation of homogeneous catalytic ester hydrogenation under the supervision of Prof. Matthias Beller at LIKAT (Rostock, Germany), then the synthesis of new STIM1 inhibitors under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Pierre Bazureau.
Since October 2025, he has been pursuing a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Gianluca M. Farinola at Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro. His research is part of the Marie Curie Network GREENS: A Training Programme on 5R's Implementation in the design, manufacturing and application of micro and nanorobotic platforms, and involves the functionalization of diatom microalgae biosilica with functional molecules and catalysts.
